to a public house steeped in history, which we are still uncovering....so far...
The Black Cat was first licensed in 1838, church meetings were held in it's sitting room, the village shop was housed in one of the bars and many a local will remember having a haircut in the back 'shed'.
Sorry for a very belated Happy New Year to all our friends, customers old and new. Welcome to The Black Cat site...what a fantastic year 2009 was for us, not only did we get the Cask Marque for great beer but also a Gold award for our kitchen.
FANTASTIC news for us, Hard work does pay off in the end. On a strictly personal note..those awards will probably mean more to us than anyone else...because we saw what we took on when we arrived!!
REAL FOOD, REAL FIRE, REAL PUB, fantastic garden, large car park come and have a look.
